Customize your very own AR jack-o’-light through the business’s new interactive boxes.
Consumers that acquire a product via Amazon currently until Halloween can anticipate a little shock with their environment-friendly boxes. Till October 31st, Amazon will be dispersing its products using unique Halloween-themed product packaging that enables consumers to make their very own enhanced reality jack-o’-lantern.
On these special holiday-themed boxes, consumers will certainly locate an empty white pumpkin located on the side of the product packaging. Using a normal black pen, they can personalize their own jack-o’-lantern with a scary face or other unique attributes. When integrated with Amazon’s AR app, clients can in fact bring their artwork to life. Not precisely an innovative use-case for AR technology per se, but still a neat little enhancement for the holidays.
“The new experience is an affordable way for consumers to commemorate as well as a fun method to reuse boxes before dropping them in the reusing container,” stated an Amazon agent while talking to FOX Business.
These multiple-use boxes drop in line with Amazon’s previously-announced Climate Pledge, in which the business committed to lowering it carbon footprint by the year 2040.
